The annual novena to our Lady of Lourdes and in preparation for World Day of the Sick will take place in the Cathedral Ennis from this Tuesday 3rd February to Wednesday 11th February – the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Buíochas: On this Easter day we gather to celebrate Resurrection. He is Risen Alleluia. As we do so, we pause to look back at the sacred journey of Holy Week that has brought us now to the glory of resurrection. Starting with the Blessing of Palm last Sunday, our thanks to those who supplied the palm, to the beautiful ceremony

Holy Week Ceremonies

Good Friday is day of fast and abstinence. No Mass is celebrated on this day but tradition shows that Christians gather at 3pm on Good Friday and recall the Passion of Jesus. This ceremony will take place in St Mary’s Church, Quin at 3pm.

Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 7pm in St Stephen’s Church Maghera.

Trócaire & Holy Place Collection

Trócaire: The hardest part of the Trócaire Lenten campaign is to get the Trócaire box from the kitchen table to the church. We ask you to return your Trócaire Lenten contribution as soon as possible so that we may pass it on to those most in need. Thanks to all who have done so already.

Sponsor a Sick Person

Each year some people sponsor a sick or assisted pilgrim to make their wish of travelling to Lourdes become a reality. The cost €890 per pilgrim. To sponsor or part sponsor a pilgrim, please contact Fr. Tom Ryan, Pilgrimage Director (087) 2349816
